The purpose of the orthosis is to completely prevent movement of the foot/ankle joint. The boot splint must be used exclusively in the foot/ankle area and exclusively in contact with uninjured skin.
Indications
- Post-operative and conservative treatment of stable foot, ankle and/or ankle injuries.
- Postoperative and conservative management of distal fibula injury.
- Conservative treatment in case of foot and toe and metatarsal injury.
- For ligament, soft tissue and tendon injuries.
Contraindications
- Absolute contraindications – None
- Relative contraindications – In the case of the following indications, consultation with a doctor is necessary: skin diseases and/or injuries, inflammations, swollen scars, redness and warmth of the limb/body part in question; disorders of lymphatic drainage, including unclear swelling of soft tissues on the part of the body where the support/orthosis is installed; sensitivity and circulation disorders in the treated body part or legs.
