BT NECK Rigid orthopedic neck orthosis

BT NECK is an orthopedic orthosis designed for cats and dogs with problematic neck vertebrae, broken vertebrae, neurological problems and hernias.

The orthosis provides compression and stabilization of the neck, protecting it in case of injury. It is also useful for obsessive-compulsive behavior patterns. In addition, it can be used as an alternative to a regular collar that prevents the dog from licking and biting itself. Using it, the dog cannot lick the wounds, tear the stitches and lick the medicine applied to the wound. Protects the chest, belly and sides and makes it difficult to reach the front legs (elbow to shoulder). It also protects the anus area if operations have been performed there.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

The BT Neck collar is not suitable for use on bulldogs and hounds. Hounds’ long necks prevent the collar from staying in place, and bulldogs’ short, stocky necks prevent it from fitting well.

It is important that the collar fits tightly around the neck so that it does not move.

While wearing the collar, the dog can be walked with both a collar and a brace.

During a 24-hour period, it is recommended to remove the collar for 1-2 hours.
