Bort Stabilo knee orthosis

This medical device is a physiologic knee alignment support orthosis with wrap-around Velcro straps and lateral articulated guide rods.

Indications
Mild to moderate instability of the collateral ligaments of the knee joint, osteoarthritis, arthritis.

Contraindications
Risk of thrombosis, advanced varicose veins, peripheral artery occlusion disease, lymphatic circulation disorders, also soft tissue swelling of unclear cause in parts of the body located away from the installed aid, sensory and blood supply disorders in the corresponding body area, skin diseases in the corresponding body part, latex allergy.

This medical device is a product that can be dispensed in certain cases
on the basis of a prescription. Consult your doctor regarding usage and duration.
The appropriate size is selected and the use of the product is guided by the special personnel from whom you purchased the medical device.

– remove the medical device before radiological examinations
– remove for longer breaks, such as sleeping
– in case of numbness, loosen or remove the medical device
– if complaints persist, contact your doctor or dealer
– use the medical device as directed
– simultaneous use of other products only by agreement with your doctor
– do not modify the product
– do not apply on open wounds
– do not use in case of intolerance to any of the materials used
– not reusable – this aid is intended for one patient
– while wearing the bandage: do not use local creams or ointments in the area of the applied aid, this can destroy the material

Installation guide
Open the Velcro fasteners and place the bandage around the leg so that the front of the opening surrounds the patella.
The two-part pad should rest comfortably against the sides of the kneecap.
Pass each velcro fastener through the appropriate diverter eye on the opposite side and fasten the straps to the desired tension.

Removal
To remove the bandage, open the Velcro fasteners and pull them out of the diversion loops.
Then open the fastening plate in the thigh area and remove the aid from the leg.
Close all velcro closures to prevent, for example, damage to other items of clothing.
