Combined COVID-19 and A+B influenza antigen rapid test for self-testing The combined COVID-19 and A+B influenza antigen rapid test is a single-use test kit designed to detect the nucleocapsid protein antigen of influenza A and B virus antigens and the COVID-19 antigen from the material of the nasal cavity. This test is intended for home use from self-collected nasal swab samples in people 12 years of age and older. Sampling of children under 12 and over 70 must be supervised and supervised by their guardian. If a person is not able to take the test themselves, they must turn to someone for help. The test is intended for symptomatic individuals within seven days of the onset of symptoms or for asymptomatic individuals who have had contact with a positive diagnosis or suspected infection. Positive results indicate the presence of influenza and SARS-CoV-2. A person with a positive test result must self-isolate and contact their family doctor. Positive results do not exclude the presence of bacterial infection or other viral infections. Negative results do not exclude influenza and SARS-CoV-2 infection. People who test negative but still experience flu- or COVID-like symptoms should see their GP. The set includes: test cassette, extraction tube with buffer, sterile cotton swab, waste bag, leaflet. TAKING THE TEST – READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE TAKING THE TEST. Open the kit box. Check the kit parts before use. Prepare a flat surface, such as a table. Make sure it is clean and dry. Wash hands using soap and water or hand sanitizer. •Remove the foil cover from the extraction tube and insert the tube into the hole on the box. •Open the cotton swab package from the taped end and take out the cotton swab. •In an adult, push the soft end of the cotton swab into the left nostril to a depth of about 2.5 cm. Note. It is not necessary to push the cotton swab into the child’s nostril to a depth of 2.5 cm. This must be carefully evaluated and adjusted by the sampler. •Wipe the inner surface of the nostril at least five times in a circular motion. Repeat the corresponding action in the other nostril and make sure that the obtained sample material is sufficient. •Place the cotton swab in the tube containing the extraction buffer. • Twist the cotton swab at least 8-10 times while pressing the tip of the cotton swab against the bottom and sides of the tube. •Pinch the sides of the tube together and pick up the cotton swab by pushing the sides of the tube out to remove as much liquid as possible. •Close the tube tightly with the cap and put the tube back into the hole on the box. •Open the sealed pouch and take out the test cartridge. For best results, the test should be done within one hour. •Hold the tube upside down over the sample well. Gently drip down the sides of the tube by squeezing three drops of sample material into each sample well, then start the clock. •Wait for colored lines to appear. Test results can be evaluated after 10-15 minutes, DO NOT evaluate results after 20 minutes. After performing the test, place all parts of the kit in a waste bag. Dispose of the waste bag according to local regulations. NB! Refer to the manual for interpretation of results
